Transmitting culture

Angi & Nico are professional Tango dancers, instructors, and internationally renowned artists from Buenos Aires, Argentina, with over 18 years of experience in the art of Tango. Certified and trained at one of Argentina’s most prestigious Tango schools — Mariposita de San Telmo — and also certified in the Método Bonaventura®. Angi & Nico have performed in numerous shows and cultural events across Buenos Aires and worldwide.

As distinguished members of the National Argentine Tango Selection, Angi & Nico had the honor of representing Argentina as performers and instructors at EXPO Dubai 2020. Following this prestigious engagement, they launched a cultural project across the Middle East, fostering connections with local Tango communities and contributing to the establishment and growth of the Argentine Tango community in the UAE and throughout the region.

Their international experience extends to participation in esteemed Tango festivals, events, and cultural initiatives across Italy (Turin), Egypt (Cairo), Georgia (Tbilisi), Poland (Krakow), Syria (Damascus), and China (Beijing, Tianjin, Nanjing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Zhengzhou).

Within the GCC region, their work has encompassed collaborations, performances, and cultural initiatives in the UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi (Embassy of Argentina), as well as Oman (Muscat), Qatar (Embassy of Argentina), and Kuwait (Embassy of Argentina). Through these engagements, they have promoted cultural exchange and contributed to the development and growth of Argentine Tango communities across the region.

Since 2022, Angi & Nico have been based in the United Arab Emirates, where they have established a strong and recognized presence within the UAE’s Tango and cultural scene. Over the past four years, they have developed an extensive network of artistic, educational, and cultural collaborations across the country.

From the UAE, they design and perform Tango experiences, live entertainment shows, conferences, and professional courses for prestigious institutions and companies, including Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Marina Mall, VOGO Abu Dhabi Golf Resort, New York University Abu Dhabi, Mindvalley, Heart of Dance Dubai, Capital Dance Center Abu Dhabi, Sima Performing Arts Dubai, and The British School Al Khubairat Abu Dhabi.

Vision & Philosophy

As ambassadors of Tango, their main goal is to share and spread Argentine culture across every corner of the world. Their mission is to place all their knowledge and experience at the service of Tango, fostering the growth and enrichment of the Tango community in each place they visit.

Argentine Tango, beyond being a ballroom couple dance, is a living culture that represents Argentina — declared by UNESCO in September 2009 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Angi & Nico believe that culture is the key that unlocks a nation’s creativity and the universal language that transcends borders.

Tango is a unique and magical improvisational dance, where two people connect on a profound emotional level. It is both a social dance and a philosophy of life that transcends languages and builds cultural bridges — a dance that truly anyone can experience.

Our Story

Angi & Nico began dancing Tango as children — Nico started at the age of 9, while Angi began at 15 — and each developed an individual career as professional dancers for over 16 years. In 2018, in the heart of Buenos Aires, at Puerto Madero, they met for the first time. From that moment on, they began dancing together, combining their individual experience, passion, and artistic vision to build their career as a Tango couple.

Although they come from different backgrounds, they share the same philosophy, which naturally led them to collaborate. Nico studied at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes, Buenos Aires, while Angi studied at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Mendoza, and at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Their Tango was further consolidated through professional study at the Mariposita de San Telmo Tango School in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Additionally, they undertook professional training in the Método Bonaventura® under Carolina Bonaventura.

The Método Bonaventura® is a revolutionary Tango teaching method created by Carolina Bonaventura, designed to transmit Tango in its essence. The method helps students make the invisible visible, developing a conscious, responsive, creative, free, and musical body that communicates with itself, with a dance partner, with the music, and with the surrounding space. It provides an evolutionary learning experience in Tango, understanding it as an instant art form, a dance of improvisation and complete creation, in a continuous and spontaneous dialogue.
